In support of global responsible sourcing, and to fulfil our social responsibility in procurement activities, FONEX aims to ensure that conflict minerals used in the manufacturing of its LambdaGain products are sourced from smelters validated as conformant with conflict-free sourcing standards.
We are committed to complying with the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas, as well as the applicable requirements of Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Act, which aims to prevent the use of minerals that directly or indirectly finance or benefit armed groups in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) or in adjoining countries.
We expect that our suppliers have in place policies and due diligence measures that will enable us to reasonably assure that products and components supplied to us containing conflict minerals are obtained from smelters that comply with the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI). To this end, we investigate the supply chain on the use of conflict minerals when necessary. LambdaGain will conduct due diligence reports to trace the source of Tin, Tantalum, Tungsten and Gold (3TG) in its products and ask its suppliers to complete CMRT declarations evidencing such supplier’s commitment to becoming conflict-free and documenting countries of 3TG that it purchases from.
